It only took me about 20 minutes to install this double bed rail by myself. Basically, you just snap on the pieces to create the two rails, insert each rail into two plastic hinges, connect the two rails through two straps, take off the mattress, place the rails on the box spring, put back the mattress, and tighten the rails to the mattress by tightening the two straps. With one person, after assembling the two rails, the only challenging part was placing the mattress back on the box spring without displacing the bed rails on the box spring. I overcame this challenge by placing the mattress back on the box spring and then re-adjusting the slightly displaced rails. Doing it alone probably took an extra 5 minutes. The instructions were easy to follow and there were few parts to make the assembly nearly fool-proof.
I also like that both rails can be lowered for changing bed sheets or when they are not needed. Please note that it does take a bit of room for the rails to fold down completely so check the rail height to determine the space needed. Once the rails are tightened, it can be difficult to pull a comforter between the rail and the bed. So, I just fold the comforter on both sides rather than let it drape.
LOVE IT!

They were the least expensive bed rails we could find online. Shipping was free, as we are Amazon members. How can you beat that? Best of all, our toddler is no longer falling out of bed. We should have bought them a few months earlier when he transitioned to a regular bed. Using pillows just doesn't cut it anymore when they start to flip and flop! Easy to install. I just dread making his bed now, so he sleeps on top of all of the blankets. No biggy. He always kicked them all off every night anyway. They really are sturdy when installed. Our toddler really kicks them and flips against them, and they don't budge. Great deal!
Glad I Chose This Brand Over the Pricier Ones

This product took me about 15 minutes to assemble. The package says it should take five; I am certain that it would have only taken five if I wasn't taking care of my toddler at the same time. It was very easy to assemble. I hardly even had to use the instructions (which were very good by the way.) I installed it alone. My toddler sleeps on a twin mattress that is on top of plywood on a regular metal bed-frame. I saw no need for a box spring mattress and she can get into bed without needing a stool. That being said, it is difficult to find railing that works with this type of set up. I had a Dex rail for one side, but it was really designed for a mattress/box spring setup and was really difficult to tighten. I thought about buying another one for the other side of her bed; however, I saw a rail that was around $40 that would hide underneath the bed. They said it was super-strong and it was super-long. This was their big selling point. I'm sure it was a great rail. You could also buy the second rail for $20-30. But, it did not hide away or move at all, which to me, defeats the purpose of buying a hide-a-way bed rail. I was scared to purchase the Summer bed rails because they were cheaper and when it comes to things like this, you usually get what you pay for. However, I read that they both folded down (which is a must-have so you can make the bed!) And, since they are made to work together, I knew it would be stronger. I decided to give it a try. THEY WERE SOOOOOO EASY TO TIGHTEN! You just pull a strap until you can't get it any tighter, and then you lock it in place with the simple push of a lever. They are very easy to get down and up when needed. They are tall enough for my extra-tall mattress and they are plenty long enough. I think I have about 15 inches at the foot and head of the bed that is not covered. They look great and seem plenty strong enough.
Now we will just have to see how they hold up over time. But, I already think they are super compared to the Dex I had.

These were so easy to assemble and put on my daughter's full bed. I put it together by myself with my two toddlers overlooking AND I was 7 months pregnant at the time. These are made for a mattress with box springs--the pieces connect in between the mattress and box spring. I installed hers a little less than pillow-length from the head of the bed and they go to about a foot and half from the foot of the bed--perfect--she climbs in and out at the foot of the bed, but during the night she's nice and secure between the rails. These also fold flat against the bed which has made sheet changing very easy.
My daughter loves these, too. They are a nice shade of pink and make her feel safe and secure in her big-girl bed. She likes to line her "lovies" up next to each rail--a little stuffed animal barricade.
